Expert Concrete Resurfacing Toronto & Ontario
In concrete rehab Earth Stick & Stone undertakes projects from foundations to bridges. We also rehabilitate water tanks and even dams with concrete. Concrete is strong, durable, and easy to work with material. However, it requires expert recurring repair and maintenance.
Guniting Earth Stick & Stone ’s application of guniting is the most effective process of repairing concrete work which has been damaged. Some damages may be due to inferior work or other reasons. Guniting is also used for providing an impervious layer.
Shotcreting is the spraying of concrete by the passage of air or strong hydraulic pressure. Shotcrete is also known as Gunite.
Shotcrete is simply using mechanics and hydraulics to force wet concrete through a hose, where compressed air increases its velocity at discharge.
Another method is Dry Shot or Dry Spray.
This process involves using compressed air to blow a dry mix through a hose, where water is then added at discharge.
Also known as slurry grouting or high mobility grouting, this is a grouting technique that Earth Stick & Stone employs to fill pores in granular soil or voids in rock or soil.
Depending on the application, cement or micro fine cement grout is injected under pressure at locations either through single port or multiple port pipes. The grout particle size and soil or rock void size must be properly matched to permit the cement grout to enter the pores or voids. The grouted mass develops massive strength thus reducing permeability. This process is always used to reduce water flow through rock formations found under dams and cement granular soils.
